Metal prints of artwork in Acute Care for Elders Unit of Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital
Fields of Salt (left), Sanitary? (center), and After the Gold Rush(right) in the Acute Care for Elders Unit of Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

The San Francisco Arts Commission selected three of my artworks, Fields of Salt, Sanitary?, and After the Gold Rush through a public process for placement in the 7th floor Acute Care for Elders Unit at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Digital images of the artworks were licensed for fabrication as metal prints for this newly renovated building. Metal prints were specifically chosen as a medium because they are durable and can be sprayed with bleach for disinfection. Public art is thoughtfully integrated into the design of the building, a wonderful acknowledgment of the healing power of art. The hospital and art was made possible by a $887.4 million bond passed in 2008, a $75 million donation by Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg and San Francisco's 2% for public art program. The SF Arts Commission lists the artworks in their collection database.
