Surpise in forest burned by Rim Fire and then logged
On our way home, I wanted to see the forest that had been burned by the 2013 Rim Fire and then logged as part of my research for an artwork I'm working on. We didn't have to explore very far off of Highway 120 to find this prime example on Hardin Flat Road (which leads to the devastated City of Berkeley Camp). As I was photographing, I noticed something that didn't fit in with the rest of the burned trees and stumps - can you find it in the photo? The next photo gives it away...
