Nine of my artworks were on loan to the US Embassy in Moscow, as part of the State Department's Art in Embassies Program. My work was in excellent company of other California artists as the ambassador at the time, Michael McFaul, was from California. I wish I could show you the photo of the dining room where my work was installed but guess what? It's classified! So this is a close-up instead.
Spaso House is a "New Empire" style mansion built by a Russian industrial magnate. The family wealth that built this mini-palace came from textiles so it seems fitting that my textile work was displayed there.
