Title: All You Can Drink
Year: 2012
Dimensions: 3½" h x 2" w x 5" d
cast glass, brass
Every day we take water for granted. All the water we need and more is easily available by simply turning on a faucet. Most people don’t know where their water comes from, nor do they know its reliability, quality, and environmental impact. In this artwork, a common plumbing fixture, a hose-bib (faucet), is cast from clear glass. An industrial workhorse fixture is transformed into something fragile and precious to highlight the vulnerable state of our water supply.
