We were happy to see this healthy frog in the stream feeding Red Devil Lake. There are no fish in Red Devil Lake so it turns out that our frog sighting was no coincidence. The non-native fish (i.e., trout) that have been historically stocked in the Sierra Lakes like to eat these frogs and their food (insect larvae).
