Bright Angel Campsite & the Dining Room at Phantom Ranch
Bright Angel Campground is long and narrow, squeezed in between the canyon walls and Bright Angel Creek. It's quite developed - the bathrooms have flush toilets, sinks and electricity. It hardly felt like we were backpacking! We made reservations for dinner at Phantom Ranch (a resort with stone cabins farther up Bright Angel Creek) where they serve you family style at long tables. It was a fun social event but honestly, our homemade backpacking food is better than their food.
